Description
This collection of vintage industrial and surveying equipment includes a three-lens traffic signal featuring a yellow metal casing and glass lenses in red, amber, and blue. The assortment features a Craftsman level and transit-level surveying instrument housed in its original fitted wooden case, complete with a plumb bob and a manual titled Use and Care of the Level and Transit-Level. Also included is a vintage Rolatape Model 200 measuring wheel manufactured in Santa Monica, California, showing patent number 2557481, which features a folding handle and a yellow measuring tape graduated in feet. Rounding out the group is a wooden tripod with weathered red and white painted sections and an antique two-man crosscut saw with dual wooden handles and a rusted steel blade.
Traffic signal length: 42 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The items exhibit significant age-appropriate wear and signs of heavy industrial use. The traffic signal casing shows surface scratches and scattered paint loss. The wooden transit case displays surface abrasions and weathering. The wooden tripod and saw handles show substantial paint loss, splintering, and weathering of the wood. The crosscut saw blade is heavily oxidized with surface rust throughout. The measuring wheel exhibits typical field grime and oxidation on the metal components.
