Description
This expansive collection comprises various sports-related trading card sets, board games, and commemorative items primarily from the 1980s and 1990s. The group includes several Classic Major League Baseball Trivia Board Games in original packaging, notably the 1991 Series 2 and 1993 editions, along with multiple Travel Edition Red Series games. Trading card sets are represented by two 1990 Topps Baseball Collector’s Sets, a 1990 Fleer Baseball Update set, a 1987 Fleer League Leaders set with logo stickers, and a 1991 Pacific Tom Seaver Tom Terrific 110-card collector set. A factory-sealed 1991 Pro Set PGA Tour box is also included. Professional football material features 1990 Action Packed Premiere National Series team sets for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions, as well as a September 1989 College Football Preview issue of Sports Illustrated focusing on Florida programs. Basketball collectibles include a 1996 Sports Impressions USA Basketball Dream Team commemorative porcelain plate, numbered 1667 of a limited issuance, a framed Michael Jordan tribute card by Upper Deck, and a Panini NBA Player of the Day jersey. Other notable items include Metallic Impressions Willie Mays embossed metal cards in a specialized tin, Donruss Hall of Fame Diamond King puzzles, and a collection of mid-century baseball biographies. A Series 1 Harley-Davidson collector’s card set and various modern hockey and basketball card packs are also present. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The items in this lot appear in varied conditions ranging from factory-sealed to showing moderate shelf wear. Many cardboard boxes and plastic cases exhibit typical edge wear, corner bumping, and surface scuffing. The commemorative Dream Team plate has visible staining and residue on the unglazed foot rim of the reverse. Vintage books and magazines show natural toning, minor spine stress, and corner creasing consistent with age. Several items retain original retail price stickers. All items are raw and have not been professionally graded.
