Description
This Chinese export porcelain oval platter features a central scene rendered in underglaze blue depicting the Eighteen Luohan, also known as Arhats. The composition includes specific Buddhist iconography such as the Tiger-Taming Luohan seated beside a tiger and the Dragon-Taming Luohan observing a dragon emerging from swirling ruyi-shaped clouds. The figures are dressed in monastic robes and are shown with various attributes, including prayer beads, fans, and offering bowls. The rim is finished with a stylized repeating scrolling border. The reverse of the platter is flat and unglazed, revealing the white porcelain body with scattered iron spots and kiln grit consistent with late Qing Dynasty production. No reign marks or manufacturer stamps are present.

Condition report:
The item is in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. The glaze shows minor characteristic firing flaws, including small iron impurities (pepper spots) and pinpricks. The unglazed underside exhibits surface staining and shelf wear consistent with age and use.
