Description
This beaded neck pouch, often identified as a medicine bag, is constructed from a red velvet or velveteen fabric. The lower half of the pouch is encased in a sleeve of woven glass seed beads featuring geometric patterns. The central design includes a series of diamond shapes in light blue and yellow against a black background. This central band is flanked by diagonal rows of yellow and black beads. The base of the pouch is decorated with an elaborate multi-strand fringe consisting of blue, yellow, red, and black beads. A long, twisted cord strap made of red, yellow, and green fibers is attached to the top of the bag. No labels, signatures, or maker’s marks are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The item appears to be in excellent vintage condition. The beadwork is complete with no missing beads or loose sections observed. The red velvet fabric shows minimal signs of wear and remains vibrant. The twisted cord strap is secure and intact, with a small white thread loop at the top end.
