Description
This vintage electronic insect killer is a Bug-O-Way Model B-70, manufactured by the UDO Corporation of Salem, New Hampshire. The unit consists of a green cylindrical housing with a protective metal mesh cage enclosing internal ultraviolet light tubes. A green identification label on the upper housing is marked with the Bug-O-Way logo and technical specifications including Model B-70, 120 VAC, 60 HZ, 1.5A, and Grid 5200V 9MA. The label also states Made in U.S.A. The lot includes the original cardboard box, which features a trademark date of 1972 and mentions E.P.A. EST #44842-NH-01. The unit is shown in working condition, illuminated with blue light. Included with the lot are the original box, internal cardboard supports, an instructional Question/Answer Sheet, warranty documentation, and a separate silver-toned metal hanging ring.
Height: approximately 18 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The insect killer is in good vintage condition and is in functional working order. The green housing shows minor surface scuffs and light dust consistent with age. The metal mesh cage is intact without significant bending or corrosion. The original cardboard box shows heavy wear, including staining, tears, taped repairs, and handwritten notations in black marker. The included paper documentation shows yellowing and minor creases.
