Description
An assortment of canoe and kayak paddles featuring various materials including laminated wood, aluminum, and composite plastics. The collection includes several laminated wood canoe paddles, a red plastic double-ended kayak paddle, and an aluminum shaft paddle with a grey plastic blade. Specific identified pieces include a Bending Branches BB Special paddle with a Rockgard tip and a wooden paddle bearing a label for Cave Paddle Co. of Cave Junction, Oregon. Two wooden paddles are marked with Water Bee graphics and the letters N and S. The aluminum shaft paddle features a blue Grumman logo with a stylized aircraft symbol on a grey plastic blade. The wooden paddles feature a variety of blade shapes including beaver tail and square tip styles with various T-grip and palm grip handles.
Approximate length of measured wooden paddle: 60 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The collection shows varying degrees of wear from use. Visible scuffs, scratches, and surface abrasions are present on most blades and shafts. The wooden paddles exhibit weathering to the finish and wear at the tips. Some labels and graphics show minor fading or peeling. No structural breaks or repairs are noted.
