Description
This vintage Global model 703B acoustic guitar is designed in the dreadnought style with a cherry sunburst finish on the top and a translucent red stain on the back, sides, and neck. The instrument features a large brown pickguard decorated with an etched floral and hummingbird design in white and yellow. The black headstock is marked with the maker name GLOBAL in a yellow gothic-style script, and the reverse of the headstock bears a gold foil sticker with the model number 703B. The guitar is constructed with a dark wood fretboard featuring dot inlays and six-on-a-plate open-gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons. A dark wood bridge with an adjustable saddle is mounted to the body. This lot includes a black chipboard softshell case and a collection of Ernie Ball Earthwood and Custom Gauge guitar strings in individual envelopes and packaging. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The guitar is in good vintage condition showing moderate surface wear, light scratches, and minor finish checking consistent with age. Metal hardware shows surface oxidation. The included chipboard case is in poor condition with significant wear, structural separation at the seams, and oxidized metal latches.
