Description
A 1980 United States Proof Set consisting of six coins struck at the San Francisco Mint, each bearing the S mint mark. The collection includes a Susan B. Anthony Dollar, Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. All coins are proof strikes characterized by mirrored fields and frosted devices. The dollar, half dollar, quarter, dime, and nickel are composed of copper-nickel clad, while the cent is a copper-alloy composition. The coins are held in their original government-issued clear plastic lens case featuring a red textured insert and a black plastic frame. The set is accompanied by its original black cardboard outer sleeve featuring instructional diagrams. The back of the case features a circular black inset with a silver-toned American eagle emblem. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The coins remain in uncirculated proof condition as issued, showing bright surfaces with no visible environmental spotting or toning within the sealed case. The plastic lens case is intact and free of cracks. The black cardboard outer sleeve shows moderate shelf wear and scuffing, particularly along the edges and corners where the white paper core is visible.
