Description
This expansive estate collection comprises a diverse range of costume jewelry, commemorative pins, and decorative objects organized across several multi-compartment cases and two wooden jewelry boxes. A featured piece is a Mickey Mouse Sorcerer’s Apprentice wristwatch, depicting the character from Fantasia on the dial with gold-tone casing and Roman numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions. The lot includes a Southwestern-style silver-tone cuff bracelet featuring five oval turquoise-colored cabochons, each set within a rope-bordered bezel. A significant portion of the collection is dedicated to Masonic memorabilia, specifically pins and medals associated with Armstrong Lodge No. 26, A.F. and A.M. of Newport, Delaware, with many pieces identifying Stephen D. Potter W.M. and dating to 1997-1998. The collection also features Soviet-era ephemera and militaria, including enamel pins with Lenin and red star motifs, postage stamps marked CCCP, and fabric patches transcribed as СЛАВА ОКТЯБРЮ and 1 МАЯ. Additional themed collectibles include a Star Trek communicator-style pin, KISS logo guitar pins, Disney character pins, and numerous Guardian Angel pins labeled as sterling silver finished. The fashion jewelry includes a large volume of earrings, necklaces, and bracelets crafted from materials such as enamel, wood, glass, rhinestone, base metal, amethyst, and turquoise. Storage items consist of a domed-lid wooden jewelry box with a transfer-print landscape of a thatched-roof cottage and a smaller dark-stained box with inlaid detailing. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
This mixed lot is offered in as-found condition. The larger wooden jewelry box exhibits significant surface wear, including wood chipping and abrasions to the transfer-print lid art. One decorative silver-tone square element in a secondary box is missing a blue stone. Various metal components show signs of surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age and use. The majority of the jewelry and pins appear to be in good used condition, with a number of items still attached to original retail cards or stored in individual poly bags.
