Description
A large collection of personal estate items featuring vintage lighters, watches, numismatic material, and printed ephemera. The lot includes a silver-tone Ronson Maximus lighter, base marked RONSON NEWARK N.J. U.S.A., RONSON MAXIMUS, U.S. PATENT 2,481,195, housed in its original red velvet-lined presentation box. A secondary lighter is a red-enameled Park brand lighter featuring the Cincinnati Reds logo, base marked PARK Lighter MURFREESBORO, TENN, U.S.A. Timepieces include a gold-tone Seiko Quartz wristwatch with a day/date window, dial marked JAPAN 5Y23-8030 D; a Timex Indiglo Perpetual Calendar watch with a gold-tone expansion band; and a Bode Finn promotional analog watch. An enameled silver-tone compact coin purse features a central floral motif and an engraved S.H.S. monogram.
The collection includes a diverse assortment of world coins, some loose and others contained in a lithographed tin featuring a Canadian Mountie. A white metal coin charm bracelet includes international currency such as a 1943 farthing and a 1959 half-penny. Ephemera is represented by two Bank of the United States $1000 notes dated Dec 15th 1840 (serial No. 8894), an 1892 New York Jockey Club Ladies Ticket for the Grand Stand and Paddock, and various vintage books including Watts’s Songs Against Faults by McLoughlin Bros and Joan Walsh Anglund’s Love Is A Special Way of Feeling, copyright 1960. Other items include a green carved stone owl figurine, several pairs of wire-rimmed spectacles with cases, three silver-tone napkin rings (one with a relief of City Hall NY), a wooden box containing various metal and plastic thimbles, and a US postage stamp booklet for $2.00.

Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
Items show varying degrees of age-related wear. Metal objects exhibit surface scratches, tarnish, and areas of oxidation. Paper ephemera displays toning, foxing, edge wear, and minor creasing. Watches show wear to crystals and bands; all timepieces are untested and functional status is not guaranteed. Wooden and tin containers show shelf wear and minor paint loss. Overall fair to good vintage condition.
