Description
This collection features a variety of die-cast and plastic toy vehicles from several manufacturers, including Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, M2 Machines, Maisto, and Racing Champions. The lot includes many items in their original retail packaging, as well as a selection of loose vehicles. Packaged highlights include Hot Wheels Demolition Man movie tie-in sets featuring the Buick Wildcat and GM Lean Machine, and several Johnny Lightning series such as the Classic Gold Collection with a 1950 Oldsmobile Super 88, the Mopar or No Car series with a 1962 Plymouth Belvedere, the Modern Muscle series with a 2004 Pontiac GTO, and a 40th anniversary 1971 Plymouth GTX. Matchbox is represented by a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 and a Plymouth Prowler. Other packaged items include an M2 Machines Auto-Thentics 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer in a hard plastic display case, a Maisto Design Pontiac Piranha Concept, a Racing Champions Chrysler Crossfire, and a carded NASCAR number 25 Folgers stock car. A larger boxed item features a 1998 Indianapolis 500 Corvette Pace Car in a themed display box. The loose vehicles include racing-themed pieces such as a green Benetton Formula 1 car with Ford and Mobil 1 sponsorship, a number 6 Havoline Indy car, a number 22 Maxwell House stock car, and a red Motorcraft stock car. Additional loose items consist of a light blue station wagon, a green military armored vehicle, a red forklift with a manual lifting mechanism, a number 1 sprint car, a green hopper trailer, and a vintage-style sedan on a display base. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The carded and boxed items generally show light to moderate shelf wear, including softened corners, minor creasing to card backs, and light surface dust on plastic blisters. The loose vehicles range in condition from fair to very good; the red fantasy car labeled Red Rider exhibits significant paint wear and appears to be missing components. Most vehicles are free-rolling. No third-party grading is present.
