Description
This is an original United States War Department Technical Manual, designated TM 9-285, titled Shotguns, All Types, dated September 21, 1942. The manual was prepared under the direction of the Chief of Ordnance and serves as a comprehensive technical guide for military personnel on the operation, maintenance, and repair of various 12-gauge shotguns issued to U.S. forces during World War II for combat and training. It contains detailed sections on multiple models including the Winchester M97 and M12; Stevens M620A, M520, and M620; Ithaca M37; Remington M10, M31, M11, and Sportsman; and the Savage M720. The document consists of 257 pages plus an index and features numerous photographic illustrations and diagrams detailing component parts, disassembly procedures, and maintenance instructions. Printed marks on the cover, spine, and title page include TM 9-285, WAR DEPARTMENT, TECHNICAL MANUAL, and SHOTGUNS, ALL TYPES. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
