A comprehensive group of law enforcement and military-related memorabilia primarily focused on the Newark Police Department (NPD) of Ohio and the career of Officer R. Mason. This archive includes a leatherette-bound volume titled History of the Police Department, Newark, Ohio 1835-1950, and two departmental folders for R. Mason pertaining to In-Service Training and the Organization of Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). Vintage ephemeral items include pocket-sized booklets for the Rules and Regulations Department of Police City of Newark and Traffic Laws State of Ohio and City of Newark. A contemporary LexisNexis 2011-1 Ohio Criminal Law Handbook with CD-ROM is included. The collection contains a mailing tube labeled NPD DEPT. PHOTO 1992 – Rich. A light wood double-opening frame houses a color photograph of a man in military fatigues and a Brothers In Service collage featuring images related to the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, Ohio Peace Officers, and the Fraternal Order of Police. An assortment of embroidered shoulder patches is included, representing agencies such as Newark Police Recruit, Licking County Court Bailiff, several Ohio Deputy Sheriff variants, Pennsylvania State Police, Baltimore Police, Miami-Dade County, Metropolitan Police London, and Niagara Regional Police. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
