Description
An assortment of modern trade volumes, primarily focused on military history and the United States Marine Corps, but including titles in general history and fiction. The collection includes titles such as The Last Stand of Fox Company by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin (Atlantic Monthly Press, 2009), 40 Thieves on Saipan by Joseph Tachovsky (Regnery History, 2020), On Desperate Ground by Hampton Sides (Doubleday, 2018), Devil Dogs by George B. Clark (Presidio Press, 1999), and Road of 10,000 Pains by Otto J. Lehrack (Zenith Press, 2010). Also present are The Persecution of the Knights Templar by Alain Demurger (Pegasus Books, 2018), The King and the Cowboy by David Fromkin (Penguin Press, 2007), and the novel Blaze by Richard Bachman (Scribner, 2007). The group features multiple Presidio Press military titles including Operation Buffalo by Keith William Nolan (1991). Most volumes are octavo in size, bound in publisher cloth or paper-covered boards, and accompanied by original pictorial dust jackets. One title, Operation Tuscaloosa by John J. Culbertson (Ivy Books, 1997), is a mass-market paperback. The works contain various photographs, maps, and illustrations related to 20th-century conflicts including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
