Description
This collection of four pairs of United States Marine Corps (USMC) utility trousers dates from the World War II through Korean War eras. The grouping includes at least one pair of the P44 (M1944) pattern, commonly known as Monkey Pants, identifiable by the large horizontal cargo pocket across the rear seat and two large side cargo pockets. The other pairs are consistent with the P41 (M1941) utility trouser pattern, featuring three external patch pockets and side adjustment tabs at the waistband. All trousers are constructed from heavy olive drab (OD) herringbone twill (HBT) cotton fabric with its characteristic diagonal weave. The garments feature button-fly closures. Several pairs retain original metal tack-style buttons stamped with U. S. M A R I N E C O R P S in a circular arrangement around a central depression. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
