Description
This collection of United States Army field equipment dates to the World War II era. It includes an M1944 pack board constructed of curved plywood with a canvas back support panel and adjustable webbed shoulder straps. The top crossbar of the board is stenciled with RED LION CABINET CO., MAR. 7, 1944, and U.S. CONT. W-12-036 QM-2958. Also included is an M1943 canvas mountain-style field pack featuring multiple external pockets, a drawstring closure, and an integrated webbed harness system. A U.S. stencil is visible on the flap. Completing the lot is a folding M1943 entrenching tool with a steel blade and wooden handle, paired with a matching canvas carrier with a wire belt hanger. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
