This lot features two silver bullion coins issued by the government of Niue and struck by the New Zealand Mint. The first coin, dated 2017, depicts Mickey Mouse in his 1928 debut role as Steamboat Willie at a ship’s wheel against a radial line background. The reverse is inscribed 1 oz 999 Fine Silver © Disney and features the NZM mint mark under three stars. The second coin, dated 2018, commemorates the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse with the text 90 YEARS OF IMAGINATION and a classic Mickey Mouse figure standing within a stylized 90. This coin is also inscribed 1 oz 999 Fine Silver © Disney. The obverse of both coins features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, including the designer initials IRB, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II NIUE TWO DOLLARS and the respective year of issue. Both items are housed in clear plastic protective capsules.
