Description
Attributed to Blenko Glass, this cobalt blue decanter features a distinctive raised, molded waffle or scale-like honeycomb pattern covering the lower two-thirds of its body. The piece includes a matching large, spherical glass stopper with a frosted, ground neck for a secure fit within the ground rim of the bottle. The base exhibits a prominent, rough-hewn pontil mark, consistent with traditional glass-blowing techniques. This form is characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative glassware, similar to pieces produced in the Empoli region of Italy.
Total length with stopper: approximately 11.5 inches. Pickup is Saturday, April 4, from from 11 amto 3 pm at the home in Choctaw Lake, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
