Description
This collection comprises a diverse array of historical fasteners and decorative objects, emphasizing that these items are buttons of various periods and materials. The group includes specimens in brass, white metal, faceted glass, mother-of-pearl, and early plastics. Featured items include a retail card of Sierra Buttons from Germany depicting animal subjects, several military-style buttons with anchor and crest designs, and a TKE fraternity button. A specific brass button is included with a handwritten provenance note for Benedict & Burnham Extra.
