Description
An extensive assortment of 19th and 20th-century buttons featuring a significant variety of Victorian black glass examples. The collection includes numerous jet style glass buttons with intricate floral, geometric, and faceted relief designs, some featuring silver luster finishes. Also present are several hard rubber vulcanite buttons, with typed labels identifying them as Goodyear patent 1851 and I.R.C. Co. The group further contains silver-toned metal buttons with ornate openwork, early plastic examples including Bakelite, and various other vintage styles. The items are presented in multiple display trays and a cardboard box lid, with some trays featuring glass protection and white batting. Visible markings include inventory tags numbered 108 and 109, along with various handwritten notes and labels referencing historical manufacturers. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
