Description
This collection of buttons is organized on two study boards and features a diverse array of materials and construction methods. The assortment includes pieces crafted from carved horn, bone, ivory, mother-of-pearl, wood, termite wood, and coconut shell. Metallic examples are present in brass, pewter, and copper. Synthetic materials are represented by early plastics and resins, including Bakelite, amino resin, and cold-cast enamels. The collection encompasses various forms such as figural shapes, embossed discs, and scrimshaw-decorated pieces. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
