Description
A collection of bird-themed buttons featuring a variety of avian subjects including ducks, owls, puffins, flamingos, and parrots. The buttons are constructed from diverse materials as indicated by the display mounting, including teak wood with ivory scrimshaw, coconut shell, horn, black glass, pewter, Satsuma pottery, glass, celluloid, and bone. Manufacturing techniques include enameling, hand-carving, molding, and relief casting. The buttons are presented in various artistic styles ranging from realistic depictions to stylized forms.
The display board measures approximately 9 by 11.5 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $5 fee if you want to pick this lot up another day. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling. Shipping questions: [email protected].
