Description
This collection of patriotic and union pin back buttons and NASA space program pins features a variety of historical American themes. These items are buttons and pins including a blue-and-white jasperware-style disc depicting the flag-raising at Iwo Jima, a commemorative 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing button in metalized plastic, and 1976 Bicentennial pins. Materials represented include ceramic pieces from Studio Isabelle, hand-painted wood, brass with enamel, shell with decoupage, lacquer over wood, fabric, and acrylic domes over paper. Notable designs include various American flag motifs, a naval anchor button, and a hand-painted wooden cat. The construction methods vary from cast metal and molded plastic to hand-painted and decoupaged surfaces.
Measurements:
Individual items range from approximately 0.5 inches to 2.5 inches in diameter. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
