Description
This collection of buttons is systematically organized across four display boards according to National Button Society (NBS) classifications. The assortment features a diverse range of materials including brass, pewter, silver, aluminum, glass, celluloid, casein, wood, and ceramic. Decorative techniques observed include enameling, filigree work, and intricate molding. One board is dedicated to Greek key motifs and includes a First Prize award ribbon from the Buckeye State Button Society for a 2017-2018 competition. Other boards categorize specimens by non-pictorial patterns and fleur-de-lis designs. Each specimen is accompanied by handwritten or printed labels detailing material composition and specific NBS classification codes such as Section 17 Class 320-339. The items are mounted using wire through the board surfaces.
Total width approximately 35 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
