Description
This lot features a collection of antique and vintage buttons presented on several labeled cardstock display boards alongside a semi-precious stone sample set. The button collection is organized into specific categories including Pierced metal buttons featuring openwork and filigree designs; Watch Case gold-toned buttons with intricate floral and geometric patterns; Tole hand-painted metal buttons depicting various landscapes and botanical motifs; and Tin and Tinned embossed buttons showing nature scenes and figures. One button within the Watch Case category is marked Scovill’s & Co. The Tin and Tinned section includes a handwritten note reading Painted on tin (per Mary Johnson). The semi-precious stone set is titled 52 Kinds of Semi-Precious Stones Collection: 1 and contains small specimens such as lapis lazuli, jade, and jasper, each mounted on a card and labeled with its name and geographic origin.
Measurements: Display boards approximately 11 x 8.5 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
