Description
A collection of antique and vintage metal buttons professionally organized and mounted on several labeled display boards. The assortment features multiple distinct categories including crystallized tin with dark iridescent finishes, China trade buttons depicting Asian motifs such as pagodas and fans, basket weave textured designs, and ornate brass buttons with cut steels. Materials primarily include gilt metal, brass, tin, and enameled surfaces. Numerous gilt buttons are accompanied by manufacturer labels and quality marks from prominent makers such as R & W Robinson, Benedict & Burnham, Scovills Waterbury, and Wadhams, Coe & Co., while several on the China trade board are marked with Parisian origins. The collection includes various construction types such as thread back and relief designs.
Display boards approximately 9 by 12 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
