Description
This extensive collection of antique and vintage buttons is presented across multiple themed display cards and an organized worksheet. These items are buttons featuring a diverse range of subjects, including winged beings and mythological figures, spiders and webs, Victory V symbols, weathervanes, squirrels, six-pointed geometric designs, sports, skiing, and various wheel types. The assortment utilizes a wide array of materials such as cast and stamped metals in silver and brass tones, enamel, celluloid, glass, carved wood, mother-of-pearl, and diverse polymers. Decorative styles include relief-molded figures, painted vignettes, and intricate filigree. Notable markings include a handwritten note specifying a backmark for Aug. Fonson Bruxelles and an artist signature for Nancy Dubois on the spider-themed board. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
