Description
This collection of antique buttons is primarily composed of black glass, frequently referred to as French jet. The assortment features various forms including rounds, ovals, and an elongated almond shape. Decorative techniques include molded figural reliefs, classical cameos, and intricate floral or geometric patterns. Several specimens are finished with silver or gold-toned luster paint, while one notable button features a white glass cameo portrait applied to a black glass base. The buttons are mounted on a pink display card which includes a printed label reading BIG – BEAUTIFUL DIV I BLACK GLASS and handwritten notations such as B.G. WATCH CRYSTAL and REPLACED.
Display card: 9 inches in height Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
