Description
A collection of early celluloid and glass buttons presented on a pale yellow display card organized into a hand-drawn grid. The assortment includes various materials such as molded glass, metal, and early plastics with finishes including iridescent, enameled, luster-washed, and faceted. Decorative motifs range from Victorian-style florals and scrolls to mid-century modern geometric patterns and abstract textures. Notable colors include red, emerald green, yellow, and deep blue, along with metallic gold and silver tones. The buttons are arranged in pairs of larger and smaller versions of the same design within each cell. A small handwritten 25 is marked at the bottom right of the card.
