Description

A collection of hardcover and softcover volumes spanning the late 19th to late 20th centuries. The group includes Houston’s New Physical Geography (1895) published by Eldredge and Brother; The Poems of Alfred Lord Tennyson (c. 1900) published by Thomas Y. Crowell Company; and Uncle Josh Weathersby’s Punkin Centre Stories (1903) by Cal Stewart. Children’s literature is represented by The Tale of Jimmy Rabbit by Arthur Scott Bailey, Two Little Savages by Ernest Thompson Seton, and three Buddy adventure stories by Howard R. Garis published by Cupples and Leon Company. Notable titles include Pappy King (1932) and Boochy’s Wings (1931) by Annie Vaughan Weaver, published by Frederick A. Stokes Company. Other volumes include The Ohio (1949) from the Rivers of America series, Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám (1906), and a Peter Pauper Press edition of The Sayings of Confucius. A modern, shrink-wrapped edition of Jane Austen Seven Novels with gilt edges is included alongside a 1968 first edition of Walt Disney’s Disneyland: A pictorial souvenir and guide. Several antique volumes feature period personal inscriptions, including one dated 1895 and another from Miami University. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
