Description
A pair of hand-blown turquoise-blue glass vases featuring hand-painted white enamel decoration in the Mary Gregory style, attributed to Fenton Art Glass. The vases are designed with bulbous bodies exhibiting a thumbprint or coin dot optic texture, rising to flared and ruffled pie crust rims. Each vase is decorated with a juvenile figure in 19th-century dress—one depicting a boy and the other a girl—positioned within a simplified landscape of trees and birds. The items are supported by circular pedestal bases showing rough, snapped pontil marks on the undersides. The glass exhibits a vibrant transparent blue color throughout.
