Description
A Fenton Art Glass commemorative basket produced in 2005 for the company’s 100th anniversary. The piece is constructed from white opalescent glass featuring a spiral optic striped body. The exterior is hand-painted with a design of yellow sunflowers, green leaves, and small bees. The basket is finished with a ruffled rim featuring a black crest and a twisted white glass handle. An incised apprentice handler’s mark is present at the base of the handle. The interior contains an oval sticker reading FENTON 100 YEARS 2005. The underside of the base bears the Fenton logo, the 100th designation, and the signatures of Scott K. Fenton and artist J. Burkhart. This lot includes the original Celebrating 100 Years! hang tag.
Height: 9 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
