Description
This hand-appliqued and hand-quilted cotton textile features a central symmetrical composition of four tulip bouquets rendered in shades of mauve, yellow, and sage green set against a white ground. The central field is framed by a wide sage green band and finished with a narrow matching binding. The piece displays intricate decorative red-thread star-patterned quilting alongside dense, diamond-grid hand-stitching throughout the ground. The construction and aesthetic are consistent with mid-20th century American folk-art traditions. No maker’s marks or signatures are present. Approximately 76 inches W x 77 inches L. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
