Description

A Signal Corps U.S. Army Frequency Meter, model BC-221-B, manufactured by The Allen D. Cardwell Manufacturing Corp. of Brooklyn, New York. This electronic device is contained within a black metal field case with a textured finish. The control panel features a central Dial Units circular gauge, a vertical Dial Hundreds window, and several control knobs labeled for gain, frequency band selection, and correction. A brass identification plaque is mounted to the panel, indicating a frequency range of 125 to 20,000 kilocycles, a production date of August 16, 1940, and serial number 180. The interior of the hinged lid houses a spiral-bound calibration booklet protected by a transparent cover. A secondary plaque on the lower portion of the case provides instructions regarding the headset and spare parts. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
