Description

This lot consists of two mid-century industrial instruments. The first is an electric world time clock attributed to the Timing Devices Company. The unit features a circular dial with a 24-hour scale and a central map identifying global cities and time zones. The rear metal casing retains a partial original manufacturer label for Ming Devices Co. of McKeesport, PA, identifying the piece as Model TD-2400 with a date stamp of July 16, 1953. The dial face includes a copyright notice dated 1949. The second instrument is a Type 583-A Output Power Meter manufactured by the General Radio Co. of Cambridge, MA, bearing serial number 6761. The unit is housed in a wooden case with a black textured metal faceplate. The control panel features knobs for impedance and multipliers alongside an analog meter face manufactured by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corp., calibrated for decibels and milliwatts. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
