Description
This lot features a diverse collection of memorabilia celebrating two of NASCAR’s most iconic figures. The centerpiece is a 10.5 inch by 13 inch Dale Earnhardt commemorative plaque featuring a color photograph of the seven-time champion celebrating his 1998 Daytona 500 victory. The plaque includes a metal nameplate and two trading cards in protective holders: a 1991 TRAKS Dale Earnhardt card and a Pinnacle Turn 4 car card. Also included is a vintage SportStar Photo-Graphics laminated print, approximately 16 inches by 11 inches, depicting Richard Petty alongside his legendary number 43 STP Pontiac with a facsimile signature, published by Racing Pictorial Magazine. A significant historical piece is the Monday, February 19, 2001, edition of The Indianapolis Star, featuring the headline Earnhardt killed in Daytona crash, documenting one of the most impactful days in motorsports history. Completing the collection is a red and white STEWART Dr. metal street sign, measuring approximately 24 inches in length, referencing three-time champion Tony Stewart. All items are unverified for original signatures; the Petty signature is a known facsimile.
