Description
This collection of baseball cards features various manufacturers and eras, with a focus on Topps issues from the 1970s. The group includes a 1976 Topps #400 Rod Carew, a 1976 Topps #161 Nolan Ryan Record Breaker, and a 1979 Topps #4 Pete Rose Highlights card. Also present are two 1971 Topps statistical leader cards: #87 N.L. R.B.I. Leaders featuring Hank Aaron, Willie Stargell, and Joe Torre, and #35 N.L. Strikeout Leaders featuring Tom Seaver, Fergie Jenkins, and Bill Stoneman. Other notable vintage Topps cards include a 1974 #280 Al Kaline, a 1975 #312 Tony Perez, and a 1977 #40 Carl Yastrzemski. The collection further contains a Rogers Hornsby Sporting News All-Time All-Stars card and a Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck promotional card marked for promotional use only. A group of five larger-format 1997 Upper Deck cards is included, depicting players Albert Belle, Gary Sheffield, Charlie Hayes, and Andres Galarraga. The cards are constructed of printed cardstock. Several items are presented in protective housing, including rigid screw-down acrylic cases, plastic top-loaders, and soft sleeves.
