Description
A collection of antique and vintage decorative buttons primarily composed of black glass mounted in various metals including copper, brass, and steel. These are buttons that showcase a range of late 19th to early 20th-century techniques such as micro-mosaic, intaglio, faceted cut steel, and gold or silver luster finishes. The assortment includes various styles from intricate geometric and floral motifs to realistic figurative shapes, including a matte beetle. The items are professionally mounted on a labeled display board with descriptions such as Cheshire #18 Brass OME Pinshank, German BMK Clear glass OME, and Micro-mosaic Thread back. This lot is accompanied by a first-place prize ribbon and judging tag from the 2019 Buckeye State Button Society competition.
Display board: 9 inches wide Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
