Description
This collection consists of various antique and vintage buttons, identified as drum style and glass in metal box types. These are buttons featuring deep circular metal mounts, primarily brass, with a diverse range of decorative centers. Materials include mother-of-pearl, molded and faceted glass, enamel, marbled stone, and intricate fabric or paper inserts protected under glass. Decorative motifs include geometric patterns, floral designs, animal-inspired textures, and a small cameo profile. Several examples feature handwritten notations on the mounting board such as glass center paper border. The lot is mounted on a tan display board with a printed label reading DRUMS SEE ALSO GLASS IN METAL BOX.
The display board measures approximately 9 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
