Description
This collection features several cards of antique and vintage buttons, primarily crafted from black glass in various styles and finishes dating to the 19th century. One group includes numerous black glass pictorial buttons with molded designs depicting animals, human heads, and objects, including whippet, lion, and train motifs. These examples are enhanced with iridescent, gold-tone, or silver-tone lusters and are accompanied by descriptive handwritten labels. A second card showcases pierced black glass buttons characterized by intricate openwork and lacy patterns. A third card contains a group of various patterned buttons featuring geometric grids, floral motifs, and textured surfaces in both matte and glossy finishes. These are buttons mounted on white cardstock for presentation.
Card dimensions: 9 x 6 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
