Description
This lot features an assortment of collectors cards of unique buttons, including Victorian metal picture buttons and Oriental themed examples, similar to exhibits found at the Keep Homestead Museum. These are buttons depicting a diverse range of human subjects and motifs, including cultural figures, classical portraits, and stylized characters. The collection is mounted on two display cards labeled PEOPLE. Materials represented include brass, silver-toned metal, pewter, plastic, glass, and enamel. Notable specific pieces include a large button commemorating the Australian outlaw Ned Kelly, a button featuring the Playboy logo, a colorful clown face, a Geisha figure, and various figural shapes.
