Description
A collection of studio-crafted buttons and small decorative objects by Bob Benson Studio, primarily utilizing Micronesian Ivory Nut (Coelococcus amicarum) as a base material. These are buttons and functional pieces featuring diverse inlay and embellishment techniques, incorporating materials such as abalone, mother-of-pearl, a Chinese Yongli Tongbao coin, a fossilized ammonite, and a Chinese fire agate. Several items are identified by handwritten notes as whistles, including a pierced dome with animal-like silhouette figures and a smaller cylindrical example. The group includes a variety of shapes and styles, ranging from traditional circular buttons with beaded borders to more contemporary rectangular mixed-media pieces featuring glitter and glass. The collection is accompanied by original studio labeling and identification tags. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
