Description
This assortment of antique and vintage buttons features a wide variety of styles, materials, and shapes including circular, square, oval, and unique figural forms. The collection includes examples ranging from the Art Nouveau period through the mid-20th century. Materials represented include mother-of-pearl, enamel, faceted and cabochon glass, and various metals with brass and silver-toned finishes. Several pieces feature pictorial motifs, such as a lighthouse with a sailing vessel, a horse-drawn omnibus, classical profiles, and detailed animal heads. Notable markings include one button inscribed with L.A. BLUES and handwritten notations on the display card referring to mother-of-pearl components. These items are buttons presented on a pink mounting board.
Display card: 9 inches (height) Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
