Description
A collection of buttons and a linked chain necklace fashioned from antique watchcocks. These items feature intricate, hand-pierced openwork in floral and foliate scroll motifs characteristic of 18th and 19th-century watch movements. The buttons are constructed from various gilt and silver-toned metals. Several buttons are mounted on decorative backings, including mother-of-pearl and a dark-finished material. The included necklace is composed of multiple circular watchcock components joined by metal links. A printed label within the grouping identifies the items as watchcock buttons.
Buttons: approximately 0.75 to 1 inch diameter
Necklace: approximately 10 inches length Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
