Description
An assortment of antique and vintage buttons, featuring a variety of toleware and mixed media examples. The collection is primarily composed of painted black metal buttons decorated with fine gold-toned Chinoiserie, botanical, and animal motifs. Notable designs include hand-painted architectural landscapes, windmills, birds, butterflies, and a raised gilt bull’s head. One example features a blue sunburst design with a faceted metal border. The buttons are predominantly circular, with some oval and scalloped forms, and are mounted on a white textured display board in a diamond-shaped arrangement. An accompanying label is marked TOLE (ETC.).
Display board: 11 x 8.5 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
