Description
A collection of Victorian-era buttons featuring mother-of-pearl and various shell materials. The group includes iridescent white mother-of-pearl, smoky gray shell, and multi-colored abalone. Decorative elements consist of cut steel studs, metallic inlays, and glass or jeweled accents. Carved and engraved motifs include grapes, stars, foliate patterns, and geometric designs. Several buttons feature long loop shanks as noted on the display card. The collection is mounted on a light gray card with a typed label reading PEARL W/ EMBELLISHMENT (OLD).
Display card: 9 inches high Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
