Description
A collection of vintage sewing buttons primarily constructed from metal, plastic, and celluloid. The assortment features elaborate embellishments of clear and multi-colored faceted glass rhinestones in various settings, including pavé-set domes, floral clusters, and geometric Art Deco-inspired forms. The settings are finished in both gold and silver tones, with stones appearing in shades of green, blue, amber, and iridescent finishes. The collection includes mid-century designs and sunflower-shaped pieces. Handwritten notations on the pink mounting board identify specific specimens as celluloid and suggest lead content in others.
Mounting board measures approximately 8.5 by 11 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
