Description
This collection consists of numerous vintage and antique buttons mounted on a display board labeled Embellished Metal and Division I. The assortment features a variety of sizes and decorative styles consistent with Victorian, Edwardian, and mid-century designs. Materials utilized include brass, bronze, and white metals, further adorned with glass, enamel, rhinestones, fabric, and assorted cabochons. Notable decorative motifs include floral and foliate patterns, a crescent moon with a white cabochon, and various geometric filigree and repousse details. Several buttons are accompanied by handwritten notations on the board describing their construction, such as pad back with fabric and celluloid padback. One larger specimen is preserved in plastic wrap.
The display board measures approximately 11 by 14 inches. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
