Description
A collection of antique and vintage buttons mounted on four individual off-white display cards. The buttons are primarily of metal construction, including brass, copper-toned metal, and silver-toned alloys. Several examples incorporate secondary materials such as inset glass, mother-of-pearl, and enamel accents. The decorative motifs are varied, featuring pictorial scenes of architecture and animals, floral and botanical motifs, geometric patterns, and heraldic crests. One grouping includes a handwritten note identifying a piece as from Paris. The buttons are of various sizes and construction methods, including stamped, cast, and assembled pieces.
Display cards: 5.5 x 8 inches each Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
