Description
World War Two U.S. Navy VT-18 squadron patch. The patch is schiffli embroidery on twill. Measures 5″ in diameter. Established as Torpedo Squadron Eighteen (VT-18) on July 20,1943. The insignia was approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations – CNO on March, 20,1945. Nicknamed the “Carrier Clowns” VT-18 was deployed on the USS Intrepid and flew the Grumman TBM-1C Avenger. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
